Why journaling & meditation?

Journaling and meditation are two practices shown to reduce stress and anxiety, foster self-awareness, help regulate our emotions, and aid us in processing life experiences. By beginning your day with just 15 minutes of each practice you can begin to cultivate a calmer mind and improved well-being.

Who is Morning Ritual for?

Maybe you’ve always wanted a more consistent practice, maybe you have one but are interested in the structured nature of being led through visualizations and being provided prompts for reflection. Or maybe you’ve never done either meditation or journaling but are interested in starting. Morning Ritual’s engaging content, consistent schedule and easy access (virtual and low-cost) helps hold you accountable to healthy habits without it feeling like a chore.

How does it work?

Step 1. Select either “Drop-in or Unlimited Subscription” from the options below.

Step 2. Submit payment and you’ll receive a calendar invite with a Zoom link for all upcoming sessions.

Step 3. Show up!

Step 4. Whether you’ve signed up for a drop-in or a subscription, once you’ve signed up once, you don’t need to do it again! I note attendance each class and if you’re a drop in, I’ll charge your card on file (your info is encrypted and stored securely in Stripe). If you’re a subscriber, you’re good to go!

When: Every Monday and Wednesday. 7:30-8:00am EST. 

Where: Zoom. You’ll receive a link after signing up!

What: We’ll begin each group session with 15 minutes of guided meditation and visualization; the remaining 15 minutes will be dedicated to thought-provoking prompts designed to help inspire and structure your journaling.

If you just want to pop in for a session now and then.

Sign up once and drop in again anytime. No need to pre-register, we securely store your payment info and will charge you whenever you attend.

FAQs

An important reminder that while I’m a therapist, Morning Ritual is not therapy.

These meditation sessions are intended to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and overall well-being. It is not intended to replace or serve as a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric services.

  • Definitely! If you’re a subscriber, you get to bring someone once a month for free!

  • Absolutely. This is for all levels of experience. The meditations are completely guided, I’ll lead you through visualizations, body scans, progressive relaxations, and breath work.

  • Come to the virtual session with a notebook or whatever you plan to do your journaling in. You also might want to light a candle or some incense to create a calming environment before getting started.

  • From the day you sign up, your subscription will cover the next 8 classes (4 weeks). It will automatically renew but if you want to cancel you can email me directly at Lydia@withlydia.com.

  • Yes, absolutely. If you’re more comfortable staying off screen, you’re more than welcome to keep your camera off.

  • Lydia’s Morning Ritual has been such a lovely way to start my day (and week)! Her approach is thoughtful, calm, and responsive. She offers a variety of ways to participate and reflect, with helpful themes for examining different aspects of your self and life through both meditation and journaling. If you feel anxious about getting your day started, want a way to start your day centered and with purpose, or just want the accountability to journal or meditate more I would highly recommend!
